Dixie favourite for eviction - Punters say it will soon be time to go

14/05/2008 10:24:00 AM
Sportingbet Australia punters are backing Dubbo’s Dixie to be the next housemate booted from Big Brother.

But Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said he expected Dixie to be safe despite the backing.

“Dixie was the only one the punters wanted last week and has been backed in from $5.50 to $4.50 this week,” Sullivan said.

“But I think we’re starting to see the real Dixie after a couple of difficult weeks and she may be able to pull off another great eviction escape.”

Dixie’s sister Roxanne Crawford said it was too early in the week to be making assumptions.

“She may be the most backed housemate to leave this week, but it is only Tuesday and voters have until Sunday night before lines close,” Roxanne said.

Sullivan said fellow Dubbo native Renee was popular with punters to win the series.

“Renee has been backed in from $13 to $6.00,” Sullivan said.

“Our punters appear keen on her down to earth attitude.”

Roxanne said Dixie had really started to come out of her shell.

“We are seeing the true Dixie and it is not fake,” Roxanne said.

“I think the community should really get behind her, being a Dubbo girl and all, and vote,” she said.

Dixie’s promises before entering the Big Brother house were to be annoying, rude, funny, outrageous, a trouble maker, entertaining and lovable.

Roxanne said she believes Dixie will get over her homesickness and become a very entertaining and loveable housemate.

“She has never been so far away from her family, but I think she will pull throuh and be fine,” she said.
